It's a Studio Calico Block Party : Project Life Weeks 49, 50, and 51

I received my first Studio Calico goodies since becoming part of the design team a few weeks ago, and oh my goodness, they are GORGEOUS! January's Block Party kits are just beautiful.  So fun and colorful.

I worked with the following:  Project Life Kit, Card Kit, and the Pollard Avenue Add-On as well as the printables for January.

For my Week 50, I used only the Block Party Project Life kit and printables, so I am going to share it first.  The PL kit is really well-put together. The colors are great, and it coordinates beautifully without being too matchy-matchy.  I'd also like to add that I used parts of it in all of the three weeks in this post, and I still have plenty left.

And here is my Week 49 using a mixture of the items mentioned above. I also used one of my new Mister Huey's here.  I have to admit that I never thought I would really use those, but goodness, they're so much fun! I've ordered a few more colors and can't wait to get them!

And finally, week 51 using a mix of the items above as well.

December Daily : Not so Daily.

I have been {mostly} steadily working on my December Daily.  Disclaimer:  It's not daily.  It's not even all this YEAR.  There, I said it.  But I LOVE it.

These are my favorite pages yet.  Neither image is (obviously) from this year, but I love them in their Santa hats.  Circa 2006 and 2008.  Any guesses on which one is which boy?
I hadn't originally wanted or planned to use the aqua although a good bit of it came with my Citrus Twist December Daily kit. I finally bit the bullet and started using it and now I am in love.
Lines from my favorite Christmas song (The Barenaked Ladies and Sarah Maclachlan version)
I love this page and it's simplicity.  The screen prints are from Tina at Life Love Paper and the gold diagonal stripe is tissue paper that I re-purposed from my December Birchbox.
I found this chalkboard printable on Pinterest, and loved it.
Wilder's class has Polar Express Day and they wore their pajamas.  It was so cute to see him all dressed up and ready to go to school in his monkey pajamas.
The boys are all about some games lately. Particularly Guess Who, Chutes and Ladders, and Cars Memory Game.  Nothing better than a board game under the Christmas Tree. Here's hoping Santa brings them more games so that we will have a variety.
I trimmed off the ends of our Christmas card for this year and punched holes in it so that I could include it in our album.  I also have another one in my Project Life as well.
And here is the back of our card.
He was just so excited, I can't even put it into words.
Reindeer card from Paislee Press. I used a glue pen and applied some glitter.  Voila, insta gorgeous! The nutcracker ornament is from our trip to Nashville last month.  We try to get ornaments every time we visit somewhere.

Studio Calico Day by Day Class for Project Life

Most of you have probably already heard about Studio Calico's Day by Day Class.  I think it is going to be awesome!

You can check the class out here:

We have some amazing girls on our Project Life Team, and I am excited to see what everyone brings to the class. We all have different styles and strengths, and I know it will be a very well-rounded class.  Here's a summary of what the class will be about:

--------

Start your 2013 Project Life album off on the right foot with our new Studio Calico Project Life Creative Team! Each of these talented ladies has their own take on Project Life, and they will be taking you through building a spread in their album from start to finish. In addition, they'll be sharing cover pages, tutorials, and videos that will help you fine tune your own approach to your album. Take advantage of their expertise and get ready to record your year, DAY BY DAY.

While supplies last, students will receive an exclusive 4x6 clear stamp set.
All students will receive access to digital stamp brushes, as well as printables by France Wisniewski of Bananafish Studio and Tina Aszmus of Life.Love.Paper and die cut files by Kinsey Wilson and Marcy Penner of Hello Forever.

-----------

Here's a sampling of some of the great printables and cut files that will be provided in the class:

I love these labels!!  I know that I will get a lot of use out of them in my Project Life.

And how cute are these cards?  I love that they can be used either with a Silhouette or simply printed out.
And these are adorable, seriously adorable!

In Progress : December Daily

Here is a quick peek at two of my favorite pages so far in my December Daily.

The one of the boys in Santa hats is not finished, but I love it.  Also, my December Daily is not, well...daily as these little pictures were blasts from the past!  These are  also Instagram pictures, so bare that in mind.  I hope to take some pictures of my completed December Daily pages this weekend to post.

2013 Studio Calico Project Life Design Team {They Picked ME!}

I don't even know where to start. This has been one amazing amazing month for me in Project Life World.  I was asked to be on the 2013 Studio Calico Design Team (yes, me!!?!?!?).  I am still pinching myself and expecting to wake up from this dream at any second.

Check out the full announcement at Studio Calico's blog here.

I'd like to go on record as saying that the Project Life Kit for January is ah-mazing.  Like I cannot wait to dig in and put together a full week's worth of PL with it.  That is coming soon, I promise.  If you've never purchased a Studio Calico kit, I urge you to pick up at least one. I bought my first one a few months ago, and just like that I was hooked. When I found out they were partnering with Becky  Higgins and implementing a Project Life kit, I jumped on the waiting list. I just knew it would be amazingly put together with fabulous colors and embellishments that I just wouldn't have the style enough to pull together myself.  And with the January 2013 PL kit, SC blew me away again.

Here's a {tiny} sneak peek into one of the January Kits.  It's Add-On #1, not the PL kit.

And here's a list of all of the amazingly talented girls who are on the 2013 Design Team. I am incredibly honored to be on the list with these ladies.   Yes, that's my name on the same list as some of the most creative and innovative scrapbooking rockstars.

Project Life Baby Editions are Here!

The baby editions are  now in stock at Amazon.

Check them out:  They are gorgeous!

Baby Edition for Him can be found here.

Baby Edition for Her can be found here.

And the Neutral Baby Edition can be found here.

Because there are no baby-edition specific binders, Becky recommends her white signature binder. I think these kits would be beautiful in a white binder. You can find her binder here.

Also be sure to check out what Catherine at Design Editor did with the Neutral Edition. It is gorgeous!

Project Life Week 48 (for real this time)

Here's week 48.  And a disclaimer (I put this week together extremely quickly for me). It usually takes me at least a few hours to get it all picked out and then put together, but I just didn't have that time this week, so I hurried through it.  I also didn't have a lot of pictures for this week, so that played into it as well.  You will notice that I stayed away from the "Christmas-y" color scheme. I have been working on my December Daily on and off, and am already tired of those colors.  An indication that I may have some crazy colors in my Project Life for December.

This week I used some cards and labels from Leena from her shop here.  I also used a few cards from the Project Life Baby Edition for Him which I was oh so blessed to receive during this week.
